THE INITIAL

Come in and meet with Marjorie to discuss your needs. Shape, color, style, & technique will be custom to each client. We will then map the brows to outline the shape. Before We begin a topical cream anesthetic is applied so that you are comfy throughout the service.  Approximately 4 hours. Permanent Makeup is a two appointment procedure. Follow up appointments are not included in initial appointment pricing

FOLLOW UP

Permanent Makeup is more surface level than traditional tattoos. The expectation is that parts of the brow will fade. At your 4+ week touch up Marjorie will go over any areas that need more pigment and adjustments can be made to the shape and saturation. Approximately 2 hour.

Follow up appointments are not included in initial appointment pricing.

REFRESHER

Permanent Makeup when done properly is designed to fade over time. Marjorie will typically see clients every 1 to 2 years for a brow refresher. These should not be booked at the first signs of fading as We do not want to oversaturate your brows. Approximately 2 hours

MEDICAL CONTRAINDICATIONS

You may not be a candidate for Permanent Makeup if you have any of the following health concerns. Skin conditions apply to the face. Please note that we are not able to microblade over scars, moles, or piercings.

POST PROCEDURE

Immediately following the procedure, you may experience minimal discomfort on the treated area. Many clients describe a similar sensation as a sunburn, with redness and swelling. Symptoms will subside within 24 to 48 hours.

During the first week, the tattooed area will initially appear to be darker and bolder in color and more sharply defined than the final result.

Minimal scabbing or flaking of the skin is normal throughout the first few weeks of the healing period. To avoid loss of pigmentation, DO NOT itch or remove scabs. They will naturally fall off on their own.

Adjustments and touch-ups can be made only after the healing period is complete.

During the healing process, please avoid the following:

Application of makeup on the tattooed area for 2 weeks.

Direct water on the tattoo and the use of cleansers (except lip blush), soaps and heavy creams. Wash around the areas using a cleaning cloth or oil-free makeup wipe.

  • Vaseline, Neosporin and any other petroleum based products.
  • Activities that will cause sweating for 10 days.
  • Swimming pools, hot tubs or other bodies of water for 14 days.
  • Exposure to the sun and tanning beds can cause fading and discoloration of the pigment. Once completely healed, always apply sunscreen (30 SPF or greater) on the treated area.
  • Laser light therapy, as it can darken/lighten or distort the pigment.
  • Exfoliation products, retinol acids or AHA’s on the area for 30 days after the appointment to avoid premature fading.
  • Massages, facials or intensive skin treatments.

CARING FOR YOUR NEW TATTOO

Most clients require at least two sessions for ideal results. The 1st session is to build shape and gain symmetry; the 2nd session is to perfect the brows and add density. Nano brows tend to heal faster than combo or microbladed brows, with minimal bleeding/scabbing.

Day 1 We will provide you with an aftercare kit, including distilled water wipes and a barrier ointment. Gently wipe your eyebrow tattoo with the provided distilled water wipes every 2 - 3 hours after your appointment. Do not apply the barrier ointment until the second day.

Day 2-14 Gently pat your brows 2 to 3 times a day with a damp cotton pad and apply a thin layer of the provided ointment once in the morning and once at night. Do not excessively apply the ointment as over-hydration of the skin may cause problems with the pigment retention. The amount applied should not exceed the size of a grain of rice.

POST HEALING

  • Eyebrow tattoos normally last 1 to 2.5 years depending on lifestyle, skin type and aftercare. Yearly touch-ups with Hoi Tattoo are recommended to maintain your results.
  • Do not do laser your brow area (IPL). Some lasers may change the color of the ink.
  • Additional eyebrow makeup application may still be required post tattoo to achieve your desired look.
